There are reports going around that there is a new smaller MacBook Air in the works. The rumor is that a MacBook Air with a screen of 11.6 inches is in the works. This would be an even thinner and more portable than the previous versions and would be using an energy efficient version of Intel’s new Core line of processors.
There are rumors going around about a new iPod Touch but those are the pretty obvious ones: that it will use the same processor as the iPad and iPhone 4, that it will have a camera which be able to capture video as well as take pictures. Personally, I expected the camera to make an appearance in the 3rd generation iPods, but I imagine they had some size and battery issues to solve in order to get it to work out okay without making a thicker, heavier device. It is mentioned that the iPod would get 3 megapixel camera.
I don’t see what would be the point in giving the iPod a less capable camera than that of the iPhone. Historically, the iPod Touch has always been ahead of the same generation iPhone as it is released a few months later. Purposefully giving it a less capable camera seems like a bad idea as the Touch is essentially the only iPod model that is seeing increased sales.
